Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD):

PTSD is a mental health problem that some people develop after experiencing or witnessing a life-threatening event, like combat, a natural disaster, a car accident, or sexual assault. It’s normal to have upsetting memories, feel on edge, or have trouble sleeping after this type of event.

It can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems and can decrease your ability to function at work and at home.

Involve more than temporary worry or fear. The anxiety does not go away and can get worse over time. The symptoms can interfere with daily activities such as job performance, schoolwork, and relationships.
